This question may have been ask 1 mil + times but I can't get a straight answer. I have purchased a PS3 from Dubai, now I'm in the Philippines and I can not play DVD'd on it, Note DVD's NOT BlueRay. Now my PS3 is PAL and the DVD'd here are NTSC, I have HDTV samsung LA40R71 model and I know this is compatible NTSC and PAL so no issue there. I need to know how I can play the region DVD's here and how I can fix if I can fix the PAL/NTSC issue. Appreciate all the feedback. Regards to all |

answers
there are 3 main systems
pal (phase alternating line) (50 hrz 25 images a second) ntsc (national television system commite) (60 hrz 30 images a second) and (russia and france) Secam (second colour to memory) all modern tv's can play all systems on dvd there's more: the region codes now cheaper dvd players can mostly read all of those playstation 3 can't it can do the regioncodes gamewise but not for dvd or blu-ray. so basicly you need to buy a cheap dvd player i hope this info helps kind regards |
