Wii have a problem...
My cousin just totaly damaged his brand new 40" plasma with the Wii controller. He was playing some swords game and suddenly the strap in the thingie broke and the controller bullseyed the 1 week old brand new Plasma.

I guess he's not the only one:

That is definitely a problem among many Wii users, Nintendo actually issued a recall on the straps, and the people with older controllers are encouraged to get their straps replaced. Sometimes people just get into the game too much and swing their Wiimotes like maniacs, and that is also a contributor to this problem too, but I am glad that Nintendo is taking the initiative to address this issue.

Playing Wii can make you sweat a lot... especially in the hand department. Nintendo should have added some rubber grip.

i threw my remote once playing golf, but the strap did save it from hitting the ceiling and probably breaking. i have a newer wii though
