Yup...the Game Boy Advance outsold the PS3 for the month of february and PS3 didn't have one title on the top 10 chart. If anyone can say this is a positive thing...then they're insane.

hey bud the handheld is over 500 doallars cheaper. people arnt exactly sweating over getting one so they will buy it without losing a ton of money, and ps3 doesnt have any top 10 games cuz there arnt enough systems out to sell that kind of merchandise

Yes but its the GBA. The DS is only £99 here in the UK...no...theres no good reason for the PS3 being beaten by the GBA.

ur evidence proves 2 points. 1 the gba is still pretty damn popular and 2 the ps3 is too expensive so people arnt buying it. thats all u can gather from that

I'm sure it will, it'll take time that's all. People i speak to always mention the price and the fact that so far the performance is on par with the 360. They don't look to the future. Don't get me wrong, it seems like there is interest, but the price really does alienate casual gamers. People are waiting for price reductions, although that's not going to happen for a long time yet

it was also sold out by the NES last month at amazon, but i think the wii had the virtual console and people kept buying the NES instead. Also the PS3 was low on stock and the price is high, i'm sure the PS3 will pull through. With a price-cut of $200 they should do just fine! =D

Hmmm......I hardly think the NES is a threat to PS3 lol

I'm also getting sick of people saying Sony and the PS franchise is doomed. Do people forget that the PS3 isn't the only thing Sony have on the market?? The PS2 is still selling really well and with games like GoW2 it'll stay good for a while yet. Money from the PS2 and games is rolling in and this will counteract the losses they are making on the PS3. Give it a rest eh?

I read recently that the PS3 has outsold what the Xbox 360 sold over the equivalent time period of its arrival. Considering that the PS3 arrived over a year later than the 360 it's not doing bad at all in terms of sales. It's also the most expensive console on the market so to expect Wii like sales at this present time is just wishful thinking. I still predict that the Wii is just a flash in the pan and by the end of the year its popularity will have waned. There are only so many ways you can make a game unique on the Wii. Its game catalogue is dominated by first party games and this is because mainstream games such as Splinter Cell and Call of Duty do not work on the Wii and most developers will not risk revenue by pledging exclusivity to that format. Lets call it a day on the 'PS3 has failed' stories eh?

Jeez! How long has the PS3 been out in the UK? What, two weeks tops? And everyone's fretting about it not selling well?

I only got mine as I got a scholarship from my University, had it been different I would have waited till my birthday or even Christmas! It's barely been a month since its UK release and how long has a GBA been out... a few years now...

It's not the end of the world when a new console (albeit an overpriced one) is released and isn't top of the pops. I remember Xbox 360 having similar problems, or are people too forgetful?

By Christmas I guarantee the price is down and people will own PS3s. Many people jumped to the Xbox bandwagon what with the release of the PS3 being put to March 2007 than October 2006. Many of my friends were looking forward to it but because of this own Xbox's.

These things take time!

Why do you really care about which console outsells the PS3??? Aslong as you enjoy your console why the hell do you care?. It's the same with the way it looks and all that. You don't buy a console to look at it, you buy a console to play games!
