What a surprise...European gamers get screwed again!
Now don't get me wrong, this isn't a pop at Sony or the PS3. I'm just using these examples as they're the most recent. This shit happens on all platforms.. PS3, 360, Wii and PC.
Why is that European gamers are treated like dirt? Europe was on of the biggest consumers of PS2 consoles but still we got ****ed over with the delay and the price of the PS3. Not only did we have to wait 5 months longer than everywhere else (other than Australia but no-one cares about them anyway...bloody convicts) but we also have to pay More. Sony loses $250 on a 60GB console in the US but loses around $20 on the European one. Yeah ours costs $230 more than the US version, the backwards compatibility isn't as good (its not bad granted but not as good) and we had to wait longer.
And now its announced that Oblivion, GRAW2 and Splinter Cell will all miss the European launch and Rainbow Six: Vegas? Well **** knows where thats gone.
Now I'm not buying a PS3 on launch here but that doesn't mean I don't feel for other European gamers who get ****ed over like this! When will the games industry learn that we're just as important as the US and Japan?

When all us Europeans start importing games from the US, and not waiting for friggin ages until games come out over here! (seeing as PS3 is region free for games )
But yea, I know what you mean. I personnaly am not really bothred about the BC, seeing as I am keeping my PS2 anyways.
The price is a bit annoying though...although, again, that hasnt really bothred me (traded in WII console and games, PS2 games....PS3 price now: £148...and goin halfs with my mum...£74 each)
But I feel for people paying the full load. It is a bit much. If I didnt have the Wii to trade in, then I would not have had enough money at all.
Again, those games = not too bothred. Yea, it will be annoying for all those people that have preordered them games...but as long as motorstorm doesnt get put back then, well...Ill be happy

I saw an advert on tv for motorstorm today. It's about time too!! I was wondering when we were going to start getting adverts for PS3 related stuff on our UK tellies.
EDIT: I know that wasn't part of the topic but I just had to say...
(The wait until friday is getting excrutiatingly difficult!! )

^Yea, I seen that advert the other day!
There was also another one on TV today, but I was in the Kitchen. I came in just in time to see "This is living" and then "23.03.07" flash up on the screen.
*foams at the mouth whilst waiting for another 3 days*

I dont think you can blame the industry you have to blame the government bro, yes 425 quid is expensive as hell but its like equivalent of an american selving out 425 bucks in terms out what they earn. the exchange rate wasnt this weak a couple yrs ago, i remember when i first came to england it was like $1.54 to every pound. now its like 2 to 1, thanx to the iraq war the dollar is worth shit outside of america. So its really a bad comparison, becuz the earnings per capita is about the same in both countries (ie an average brit would earn 30,000 pounds a yr, and an average american would earn 30,000 dollars a yr) i hope this all makes sense, but its not as bad as it looks, when you compare the exact price its alot worse becuz of the exchange rate, so what im tryna say is an American paying 600 dollars for a ps3 would be an the equivalent of a brit paying 600 pounds for a ps3 in terms of income, living cost etc etc, but 425 pounds to a brit is like 450 dollars to an american in terms of how it affects their income etc etc. its bloody brillant tho if ur like me and buys half ur electronics from the states its like half off lol
