FPS stands for 'First Person Shooters'
EDIT: Hmm, I'm not sure about my favourie genre.
I like RPG's (well, FF is the only RPG games I have played), Fighting games (like Tekken), Action adventure (like Tomb Raider), Racing (Burnout, motorstorm etc...not GT...don't like the realsim lol)

Racing all the way.
I've got the first Need for Speed for the PS and IMO it's the best of the series. Was an improved port of the version first released on the Panasonic 3DO (classically obscure console). Totally different to things like Carbon and Underground and handled like the GT games. Plus you could drive Diablo's, 911's and 512TR's.
I play GT too much though. Even one or two of the endurance races properly

It gets annoying on motorstorm online though when your like "YES I'M WI---*crashes*---ooohhhh" lol
FPS is like Halo and Resistance: Fall of Man. I don't really like that genre, apart from Unreal Tournament...I love that game! FRAG FTW!

I'm really not sure which one to vote for. Like Chris, I like everything. Fighting games (especially Tekken) are high on the list, as are FPS (Halo's the best) and Action/Adventure (Prince of Persia), as well as racing (Need for Speed: Underground). So long as they are a decent game and have good mechanics and graphics, I like them.

Dude, you have to include a "sports" option in the poll
I like FPS but they have to have a nice plot full of turnovers, but i like role playing even more, but i dont have a lot of time to play so  i havent finished Xenosaga yet!
I like sports also, mostly because you can play against friends and stuff... Fight Night is awesome to beat the crap out of your inlaws he he he

To be fair though I don't think there's a great deal of realism in GT. I've never had a car that didn't get damaged by hitting a barrier at over 100mph  (although I've never hit a barrier at over 100mph, but I'm sure if I my car would probably crumple in on itself and not just stop dead) . The GT series is getting very boring these days.
