Whatever.....Still doesn't change the fact that it's an Xbox 360 and not a PS3. Doesn't matter how little they cost, I will never, ever buy one. Anyway, that's the core so.........what's the point?

That sounds like a good deal. Then add £100 for a HDDVD drive, then 50 notes a year for their online stuff. Starts to look bad pretty quick.
Still for £159 and a basic package. I would

No mege, no you're not, I don't believe that for one minute
Anyway I'm not a fanboy. I would buy a 360 if it remotely interested me and if there were any games worth playing, which, I'm sorry, but for me there isn't, not one. Not even *gasp* Gears of War. I've played it and I gotta say it bored me to death. Nice graphics but Graphics do not maketh the game.

A console is only as good as its games. Thats why PS3 isn't better than the 360. 360 has more games and better games. That may change in time...we'll have to wait and see.

Im probably going to get a 360 this summer when i get a job. but just for the excluseive games ex Lost Planet, Gears of War, Mass Effect, and only a core system sence its only for the excluseive games. The multiplatform games ps3 all the way i think Controler feels better, ill have biger memory for them and FREE online play!!! can you say Unreal Tournament 3, and Half-Life Orange Box (i would by it just for Portal )

pfft! SIXAXIS has nothing on the 360 controller. I've used a ****ton of different control peripherals in my life and the 360 controller easily ranks in at second place, right after keyboard and mouse.
It might be free but you don't get as much as you do with XBL. It's like Guild Wars vs WoW. Guild Wars is a great game and it's free but WoW is better. The downside of WoW? You gotta pay to play.
No. Just no. There isn't one PS3 exclusive so far that looks better than Gears of War and the only one that might be better is FFXIII but only because it's a FF game. 360 -> PS3 ports look worse and devs complain that PS3 has trouble handling graphics that the 360 has no problem with.

Just so long as they clean up afterwards.

It's not actually. The longer the PS3 doesn't have AAA exclusives, the fewer consoles will sell. The fewer consoles that sell, the less devs are willing to make PS3 exclusives. The longer the PS3 doesn't have the AAA exclusives because devs aren't willing to make them, the less the console sells and so on.

Well Mege I do agree with most of what you say apart from the 360 controller being better than Sixaxis. How can you tell Rob that the 360 controller is better? This is all down to personal preference. He prefers the Sixaxis (as do I) and you prefer the 360 controller. One isn't better than another. I prefer the Sixaxis because it fits my hands better and just feels more natural. The lack of rumble doesn't bother me at all and I quite like the motion sensors too. The 360 controller on the other hand is just a mess. The analogue sticks are pathetic and situated really badly and the D-pad feels cheap and tacked on. I know you will disagree with this and probably come back with loads of reasons why the Sixaxis is worse, but just remember this is just my opinion. There is one problem with the Sixaxis, however, and that's the triggers. I do like them but fingers tend to slip off them because they are not inverted.

Only a few minor reasons why I feel it is better actually. The first is the analogue sticks. The left analogue stick on the PS3 is too low and I don't know why Sony hasn't switched the dpad and the analogue stick yet because having displaced analogue sticks like the Xbox, Gamecube and Xbox360 and the Dreamcast is a much more natural position.
The second is the triggers yeah. Not only are they convex (curving outwards) they're put at a 180 degree angle to the controller so that when you push down, there is nothing much for your fingers to push onto. The 360 on the other hand has concave (curving inwards) buttons and is at about 150 degrees so that when you push down, they end up at 180 degrees. There is also a little bit on the 360 just behind the trigger on the bottom of the controller that your middle finger pushes against. The PS3 doesn't have this as much and it only adds to finger slippage.
The third in the size of the controllers. The SIXAXIS might be good fo | |
