crysis

so befor today, i've never really looked into this. shocking i know, but the one thing i thought about when i set my eyes upon this image was...

''if you're going to even try and play this as max settings, your going to need a super computer, the very latest in graphics card, lots of ram ect ect....''

here is a very good image to show just how realistic crysis is...(i hate the water textures btw)

just want to get your thoughts on this. i seen a few vids on youtube and it looks amaizing....

look at these shots and tell me what you think. i know the game has been out for some time now, but i'm playing it atm and find it amaizing....the graphics are mind blowing...

it's not going to be on 360, it can't handle it......i don't think. the only place you can play it is on PC...and thats going to require one heck of a powerful rig...

My opinion on whether the 360 can handle it has changed. It certainly has a good enough processor, and enough RAM. What I wasn't sure about was it's GPU. But recently I learnt that the GPU inside the 360 is based on the R600 core and not the R520 core. What does this mean?

The R520 core is used in the X1800 series of ATi cards.
The R600 core is used in the X2800 series of ATi cards.

X1800 is DX9
X2800 is DX10

soooooooo it can handle it, but think about the framerate, loading times and those darn pop-ups....

i think it is best suited for PC more than 360....if it ever comes onto 360 then the graphics wont be AS good....

think of just cause, it looked amaizing on 360 but the still managed to get it onto a last gen console................

Just cause looked great but had a shit storyline.

Yeah 360 might not be able to handle it fully but it should still be able to pump out better graphics for this game than the PS3 could. We'll have to wait and see what happens.
