even though this game isn't due until april next year, deveopers have been having serious problems with the making of it due to the pathetic size of its dvd disks. it looks like buying a ps3 for its bluray capabilities is completely justified and possibly the tables will now begin to turn

its funny you should say that, i don't know why...its just funny thats all.
nah but really ur right it has looked dead since e3. all they had to show was halo and that looked pretty shit... no better than the first one

Mass Effect and Bioshock and with Halo 3 topping 1 million pre-orders in the States......I wouldn't say the 360 was looking dead.

I would, however, say that Sony have had more than enough foresight to understand that DVD format isn't going to last forever, especially with gamers demanding bigger and more complex games. More space is definitely needed and, while the PS3 haters scoffed at the fact that PS3 had a format that was, at the time, completely untested in the commercial arena, the boot is now on the other foot with more and more devs understanding what Blu-Ray really means to the gaming and movie industry.

I just read an article about this very subject in a mag.......they said that thay will have to limit what they put on the disc for the 360 cause of the space issue.....so they wont get all the maps and all the neat mods cause they simply dont have the room for it.......

I smell a xbox720 brewing......lol

Reall? What does it smell like? I imagine it would smell of pure shit since that's mostly what MS put out tee hee.

now with the xbox you have to go buy a hd for it for upcoming games so they will finally be able to catch data or whatever it is called....sounds shitty to me....not only doyou have to keep buying things for your box but now unless you want to play certain upcoming games and soon to be all new games for it you have to buy the hd....plus with space running out on the dvd9 discs all games are either going to have to be limited to stuff or you will have like 3 dics for one short game....like halo 4 (if there is even going to be one) will have to be on like 5 discs just to keep up with the size of sonys games

yep....stinks to high heaven.....

I thought that the HDDVD add on for the xbox was just for movies.......think they might try to add it to play games too??? I know nothing on this subject nor do I care cause it still will not have the capacity of BR.....but its close....

I remember having those multiple discs for the first PS.....but all in one is always better....

I thought this too. But I remember reading somewhere, can't remember exactly where right now, but it said the HD DVD add on isn't able to play games. I assume that means it hasn't got the capability to read HD DVD ROM discs if there is such a thing. In any case I reckon it's a big no no to the HD DVD add on being used for games unless MS release one that is capable, and this would upset a lot of people that have already bought one.

I also read that MS are adding HDMI to their 360 premium system. So this basically makes the Elite pointless does it not?

what the heck is goin on in the xbox world......I really havent givin two shits lately, but.......i just thought of something.....if they make something to play HD DVD format games wouldn't that basically make it another gaming system....

You don't have the premium in your country? In the UK the Core is the basic model, it comes with no HDD and wired controllers. The Premium comes with a wireless controller and a 20gb HDD. The Elite is....well, everyone knows what the Elite is...basically a Premium but in shitty matte black, a bigger HDD and HDMI. It's not available here yet though, not that I would care if it was...

ooohhhh......I see.....I didn't realize that there was a package between the core and the elite......when I'm in the stores looking around I dont look at the 360, so i never really paid that much attention as to the different combos they have, but I did know about the elite.......the premium threw me off for a second....actually, I thought that the premium was the core....lol
