hey... for those of you that have both consoles, when a game isnt an exclusive (COD 4, Assassins Creed, FIFA 08, all other sports games, even splinter cell or rainbow six vegas), how do you guys decide which console to buy the game for?

just wondering, cos like i dunno what console to buy vegas for, and even COD 4 which i have played on only ps3 so i dunno what its better on or whatever! so just let me know what factors you guys think of and etc... thanks!!

Dont get vegas because A. no one plays it online anymore and B. Theres much better shooters coming out or already out iv ordered timeshift which looks fun.
Get Cod 4 on ps3 as many reviewers have said it is graphically better on ps3.

oh? yeah i have COD 4 on ps3 and am really pleased with it so im not getting a double console buy on that.. however i had assassins creed on ps3 and just couldnt handle all the crashing and bugs, so i just sold that off and bought it for the 360, and the gaming experience is a billion times better for that game on the 360..

yeah but i guess vegas wont be my next buy then since the online was the part i was aiming for the most :P i played the timeshift demo on ps3, didnt really enjoy it, but i guess thats down to taste! but thanks for your reply!

if anyone else knows of some game being better on a particular console please do post here!

i really cant wait for that game.. i still bought vegas though, but deided to get it for ps3 and rue it because its nicer on the 360.. but its okay, still good on the ps3! i got dualshock 3 and my god resistance is amazing with it, i think you guys should import and not wait till spring, because its a LONG time till it comes

and for me it was even cheaper than it would have been to wait to get it here (norway, expensive as hell country)! resistance is like a new game with the dualshock 3

well not to sound like a fanboy but if the game is mutiplatform go with the ps3 version just for the simple fact that blueray disc's are harder to srach (sp) than dvd's that the x-box still uses.

I actually decide which system by which one feels better with the type of game. For example, the 360 is crafted specifically for FPS, therefore you would probably want most of the FPS for the 360. If it's an adventure/platforming thing, get it for the PS3. Call of Duty is supposed to be better on the PS3, though.

lots of fps for ps3 too.....

call of duty 4 is better for ps3 than 360, no doubt... but assassins creed and fifa 08 are two examples of better games on the 360 than ps3.. but i still dont know what to buy a couple games for. if anyone knows, advise me... hl2 orange box and Unreal Tournament 3 (i know it hasnt come out for 360 but what im asking is if its particularly good for ps3).. thanks!

as for ut3 they have said it is better on ps3 than the 360 version mainly because of space difference on the disc's not to mention that the ps3 is suppose to be able to download and use user mods ( most likely skins but maybe more ).

UT3 wont be as good on 360 purely cause of the space on the disc. got my copy and it is amazing truely amazing!

The only difference between 360 and PS3 on CoD4 is lighting. And even then its nothing major like one having HDR and the other only having bloom. PS3 is slightly darker then than 360. Thats it. And though I'm not 100% sure, I believe the 360 texture size may be bigger.

yep it's true, they add some kind of coating to the disc to make it harder to scracth and leave fingerprints on it. there was a employee at gamestop who said he took a steelwool scracthpad to his game and it didn't scrach though i don't know if thats true because i'm not trying it.

I have cod 4 for both 360 and ps3 ..........and to be honest i play 99 percent of the time on ps3...The game is the same but i like the ps3 controller better , more comfortable....But to answer ur qestion if theres a game out for both sytems i always buy it for ps3 ......the only games i have on 360 are the exclusives I.E Bioshock, Gears of war, everything else is Ps3
