Hi i know this is kinda unwise asking what people prefer on a PS3 forum lol but hear me out lol.

Which interface does everyone prefer the PS3s Xross media bar or the 360's blades. I don't own a 360 and have only had used them for short periods of time at friends houses but, when i do use them I find them a bit fussy and complicated and laggy compared to the XMB. But a lot of people say they are better than the PS3 so what do all you think,

I think the XMB is a lot more intuitive, fluid and better looking.

(oh and please dont just say PS3 sucks cuz its crap or 360 is a load of balls cuz it aint as gud this is a genuine query not a thread for fanboy wars/console bashing)

I like the look of the XMB over the blades, but I wouldn't say the functionality is there yet.

XMB needs to be accessible from games. The 360 dashboard had all kinds of accessible functionality from any game. Until the XMB reaches this point it's kind of crippled, especially when concerning things like friends lists and game invites.

Yeh that is a big thing but it has almost been confirmed that either in one of the next big firmware updates (thinking 2.2 or 2.3 hopefully) in game XMB access will be added so friends messages and music will be usable during game play, i can even remember there being a accidental update on an official US Playstation network site (which was quickly removed) with something along the lines of this. i like the xmb cuz first it has a cool name and secondly its very styilized and functional. the 360 blades work well for it but it just makes it feel a little cramped to me. the xmb just needs in game music to really be the winner
