Ahh nintendo...i kinda grew out of the whole nintendo thing after 64. i had one but i was a young teenager. but now that i am older i like games that put a more realalistic touch to it...ie: GRAW, cod3, rainbox6, assassins creed...ect. nothing against the nintendo industry but i just kinda grew out of it...for me nintendo is for kids

The "kiddy argument" is such old bullshit it's embarassing. Call of Duty is on the Wii. Manhunt 2 is coming out for it. No More Heroes is slated to become even more violent than Killer 7. Metroid Prime 3 is coming out for the Wii as well.

Why does a game need to be saturated in blood to be fun? If you feel insecure playing E rated games, that doesn't make you mature. Do you not like Madden? Or racing games? Those aren't filled with swearing and gratuitous violence. They are still fun. Or are you forgetting that the Ps3 is also getting E rated games (Sly Cooper anyone?)

Arguably the greatest game of all time, Ocarina of Time, (Gamerankings.com compiles online reviews for all games - Zelda OoT has the highest rating of them all) was E rated. But I guess it's not bloody enough for you to play it. After all, it's on a Nintendo console.

Sorry if that comes off a little extreme. I'm just so sick of seeing that arguement.

its true, wii is more "kiddy", sure they might have a few games that are violent and not for kids but thats cause if nintendo doesnt do that then teens wont want to buy it causing them to lose lots of money, no matter though the wii is shit and will always be, actually if i saw one i would be forced to shit on it...and a really big one to..not small, big and it would smell..so yea its shit

They don't have to appeal to older gamers to buy their system. Older gamers aren't retards who need everything they play to be saturated in bloody violence in order to enjoy it. If you need flashy graphics and continuous violence to be in a game in order to play it, you are not a real gamer.

crab battle....like i said in my statment....it was my opinion of nintendo...i wasn't saying it is only for kids...just for me nintendo just felt kiddy cause all the games they advertised were cartoons....also like i said i have nothing against the nintendo industry, just not for me

Give us one reason, one good reason, why the wii is shit. Go on. Is it because it uses more colours than brown, mud, dark brown and black? Is it because it doesn't use bloom lighting and other needless crap? Is it because not every game involves guns and blood?

Hell, I know people from ages 10-60 who have a wii and love it. 60 year olds aren't kids. And teens wont want to buy it? Bullshit, should have seen the queue on launch day.

Yeah, I hate the kiddy argument too.

Well I love my Wii and my DS and my Cube and my N64 & SNES when I had them! Nintendo are willing to set the bar, and "to me" thats a hats off. I think Nintendo have their marj=keting spot on from the DS launch, they have appealed to the masses (for the most part) and have got people who never really played games playing games, now thats impressive in my book. And if you think about all the class games that have 1st appeared on Nintendo machines coz they were again willing to take the chance! Top company, as a gamer, they are my personal fave. Love my 360 and cant wait to get my P$3.

yeah like i said when i got my nintendo and snes and my 64 i loved them all!! just now with more systems to chose from and me being older i would want a ps3, also like i said nothing against the nintendo industry cause they are cool in my book, it just isn't for me...and this is for my earlier statements for some people who didn't understand what i was saying!

Ah, finally a chance to reveal my true self. I'm sure at least some of you have noticed my childish typing and poor grammer, but that was merely satire. In repsonse this post, I would like to say that if someone considers pulling out 300 dollars from the bank just to buy something on an "impulse buy", then they probably have more money then they know what to do with. This is just an excuse for Sony's obvious failure to market the PS3, and stating "Oh, they're just buying the other console on impulse". Get a clue. The PS3 is not "flying off shelves", and is in fact readily available, and no one wants to buy it. It's uninnovative, overpriced, and draws developpers like two magnets facing the same polarity.
