Samsung HDTV LCD's
I've just bought a 26" Samsung HDTV LCD and love it! But the only problem is i dont know how to turn it off?

The centre button on the set seems to only put it in standby mode as does the red button on the remote? The manual doesn't give anymore info either.

If anyone has one and could let me know how to turn the thing off rather than set it on standby that would be great

Pull the power plug! J/K. Did you try holding down the center button or the remote button? One of my colleagues has a Samsung TV with the one center button too, I will see if I can ask him and find out.

From what i can tell there's only the standby mode, so im just unplugging every night now

Seems to be a weird idea, especially now that i thought manufacturers were becoming more away of power saving etc.

Oh well.

Sprint, I asked my colleague and he said that the TV turns off by itself when it is in standby mode for a x amount of time. I'll check again with him though.

You know how it is mate, the quicker we advance, the more complicated it gets. But we have time. Check out the avs forums they have a lot of information and are very up to date on home theatre. Let us know how you go. I have posted a post on your behalf and i will see what happens. It wouldn't suprise me if the bloody thing did turn off on its own. Regards Grassy
