ok so i want to know why i should go out to my local electrical store and pay extra for a tv that has 1080p or w/e it is on it....whats wrong with 720?....how the heck do you notice the difference?
i switched my 360 from 720 to 1080 and didn't notice ANY difference. am i missing summit?
well if you didnt notice a differnce it is because the game you played was in 720...If you get a game in 1080 and have a 720 it doesnt look as good as it can. Only a few games are availible in 1080 but they lokk amazing.....also 1080 is full hd so if you wanna watch Blu-Ray in its top quality you need 1080

It really depends on your TV whether or not you notice the difference. And there is a difference between 720p, 1080i and 1080p. HDTVs will support 720p and 1080i. 720p is better for gaming because you want faster refresh rates for progressive scan that shows the whole image rather than an interlaced image. On the other hand, because the image is bigger on 1080i, you'll be able to see more details which would be better for movies. Then we have 1080p, the best of both worlds, but you'll need a 50"+ TV in order to see the difference between 720p HD and 1080p Full HD.
