Hd ?
ok im kinda pissed here my tv supports up to 1080i and i got sonys hdmi cables designed for ps3 on the front it says full hd 1080 for playstation 3 well i plug it into my tv and nothing is happening the av cables work but my hdmi cables dont work i just opened my tv today so both things are brand new what could be wrong?

Have you set it so the ps3 uses the hdmi cables instead of the av cables?

Your telly supports upto 1080i, HDMI are for 1080p so your telly wont be able to produce full hd if it only goes up to 1080i. because hdmi leads produce 1080p not 1080i.

rubbish, any hdmi cable will support any resolution UP TO 1080p. i have a tele that is 1080i and i use a hdmi cable which works fine! you just need to set the ps3 up so it knows you are using a hdmi cable

well when i went into the ps3 to change it the only option it would let me change it to is 480p

no any hdmi cable will work mine doesent support full hd but can still display 1080I, you have to reset one of the settings i think as the ps3 is used to being on sd

hey its working now i had the av cables in and the hdmi cable and when i turned it on today it brought up this message saying it recognized my hdmi cables and through a lil trial and error its now putting out in hd

yea me 2 but i havnt been able to use it for cod 4 yet i woke up at 2 30 was outside for like and hour doing chores then went to get arbys but the suspense is killin me
