My new laptop

I've opted for the Sony Vaio AR51E as shown here: http://vaio.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProd...y=VN+AR+Series

I also bought a printer at the same time. It's the Lexmark X3850.

Just thought I'd share the news and ask a question at the same time. On the box of the printer it says that it has 'optional wireless'. I want to know what they mean by this and whether I have to purchase anything extra. Thanks.

I think what they mean is you can connect it to your wireless network and print your documents, photoes etc anywhere aslong as your connected to the same wireless network as the printer. Also you shouldn't need anything else to set it up.

Thank you.

I figured out what the 'optional' bit meant. It means they expect me to pay an extra £50 for a wireless card for the printer. I'm heading back to PC World first thing tomorrow to return it and get a better wireless printer for £50 more. No card needed.

So I returned the printer today and bought the Kodak 5300, which prints photos of a brilliant standard and I have made it wireless by inserting the dongle that comes with most routers. Problem solved.
