Has anyone managed to find one of these yet? I love the advertising concept, and I *really* want one for my room, but I haven't managed to find a single one near me anywhere yet! Supposedly there's only 1,000 of them in existance - but considering that I've only seen 3 of them pop up on eBay, I'm assuming there HAS to be more of them still left "in the wild"!

Well 1000 spread throughout the US means they'll probably only be in the major cities. I'm from Jersey and a pretty Suburban place with a very average population so I doubt I'll see one in real life, but this is a great advertising concept b/c a surprising amount of my PS3-owning friends don't follow video games online on sites like IGN, so they have no idea about this game.

I'm always shocked when I hear about somebody who DOESN'T know about LBP yet - it seems like it's everywhere! They'll know about it soon enough; it's going to be a huge seller this holiday season.

As for the billboards, I would think if there's 1,000 of them, they'd get into the smaller suburban areas - I mean, why put all of them in just the big cities? Either way, I'll be looking for them!

^^^^Yeah I'm not shocked but I am disappointed. Most of my friends, like I said, don't know of it. They only pay attention to games like Madden, NBA, and CoD. Not even Resistance or Killzone. And the ones that have heard of LBP mostly dismiss it as some kid game.

Looks like Sony's doing a "billboard contest" now, with people trying to design their own versions of those mini-billboards on eBay:

That video is cute, but now that beta's closed, I guess people will just have to create Photoshop versions or something instead!

Apparently the one area that Sony should NOT have put these LBP billboards is in Los Angeles... near this guy's house:

How pissed off do you think this guy was when people started telling him that he could have just sold them on eBay for a couple of hundred bucks instead?
