Maura S

Not long now until Lost Planet 2 is released, but you don’t have to wait until the release date of Tuesday May 11th to get your hands on the game, as Capcom has just announced that a multiplayer demo will be available for download on April 21st, featuring the Turbulent Jungle map from the online versus mode. Players can battle with up to 16 others in real time, and enjoy full chat support and stat tracking. Some lucky Capcom fans will even get to try the demo early, from March 31st onwards, via community-distributed voucher codes, so keep an eye out!

Players who download and play the demo will also be rewarded when they purchase the full retail version of Lost Planet 2 with immediate access to the Machine Gun SP which fires three-round bursts.

Also, for those lucky enough to have received those early subscriber codes, Capcom has today launched a “Kill Big for Charity Campaign” that ties into the demo. The program includes a donation to Music for Relief for each demo downloaded via the PlayStation Network, a celebrity/charity tournament at the launch party, and a community contest courtesy of Capcom Unity which will reward the biggest Lost Planet 2 fans with spots in the celebrity tournament.
