Polish studio Flying Fish Works has announced it will be presenting its forthcoming game, Hellion: Mystery of the Inquisition, at the Game Connection in Lyon from 8th December to 10th December 2009. This will mark the first time that the public have been able to play the “authentic and terrifying medieval world”. Fans attending the Game Connection will be able to play a demo of the game in which they escort the hero, Godric of Glastonbury, to a Cistercian abbey in medieval England and then embark on a chase after a book about pagan sects.
“For the first time we will present our hero’s extraordinary skill – the exorcism. In Hellion, the exorcism is a unique upgradeable and storytelling instrument. It is a real main feature as the gamer will use this too continuously in various ways, for attacking, protecting, and supporting. It is not comparable to some kind of simple magic, in fact it is a powerful talent our hero is blessed with,” said Maciej Kowalski, producer at Flying Fish Works.
In this unusual first-person-shooter set in the 13th century, the player joins the Inquisition (whom nobody expects!!) battles heretics, carries out exorcisms, confronts demons and gets caught up in political and religious intrigue. The ‘characters’ you’ll get to meet-and-greet along the way include wild animals, even wilder warriors, Templar Knights, assassins and evil demons. Nice.

Hellion: Mystery of the Inquisition is due to be released in Q3 2010 for the PS3.
