Hot on the heels of Sony releasing the first screenshots from MLB 10 The Show, SCEA PR manager Eric Levine has revealed via the PlayStation Blog that the game will be released in North America on March 2nd. Capcom has today released some fantastic new screenshots from Lost Planet 2, including several featuring the new Debouse monster letting rip and showing off its massive fang-filled maw! The Debouse is one of several new monsters appearing in the sequel, including the equally ferocious-looking Red Eye and Gordiant, and fans will also be pleased to know that the giant Akrid also makes a return. Final Fantasy Smashes Japanese Sales Records in Just One Day

According to The Business Insider, Final Fantasy XIII has blown existing Japanese sales records clean out of the water. The site reports that until last week’s release of the latest installment in the epic RPG saga, no PS3 game has ever exceeded sales of a million copies in Japan. What makes this news even more incredible is the fact that Final Fantasy XIII broke this record in just one day! Sony’s European brand manager Penrose Tackie just made a lot of people’s days today by revealing the cover star of Gran Turismo 5 via the PlayStation Blog, complete with some luscious screenshots of the beast in question. Here in all its glory is the official cover of GranTurismo 5, featuring the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG gull-wing supercar. Tackie states in his blog post that the SLS, which will be officially launched at the Geneva Motorshow in March, has a 6.2litre V8 engine, enabling it to go from 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and to reach a top speed of almost 200mph.
