SIXAXIS Question!
Heya,
This doesn't really deserve it's own thread but, seeing as I am getting my [OMG]PlayStation 3[/OMG] tomorrow, I must know each and every detail!
1) The Red Light on the PS Button...does it actually glow? Because, it was supposed to, right? Then I have read loads of comments on the Internet about how it doesn't glow red at all. Not even when charging.
However, whilst I was watching the news this morning, it shown people playing PS3...it had a close up of the SIXAXIS in someones hand, and indeed, the red light was flashing/glowing red.
2) Does the SIXAXIS come fully charged, or will I need to plug it into USB to charge it when I first play? [and there is a Mini USB connector that comes with isn't there? Im sure there is, just double checking!]

No, it doesn't glow. False advertising, the LED light that indicates which controller on the top does glow red, but the PS button doesn't. There's no light at all.

You have to plug it into the system when you first start up so the PS3 recognizes the controller. I don't think it's fully charged, but not dead empty. The system does comes with the mini-B USB cable which works for PSP as well.

spoke to the branch today and they have asked me to call about 12.00 to pick it up and assured me its in stock, turns out that this shortage rumour was a bit of a marketing ploy by SONY , my brother is a technology journalist for the guardian newspaper and has been with sony all this week doing research on PS3 for a future piece of work hes doing, apparently (and i am only quoting my brother) there is a lot more units in the country then they are letting on ! cheeky sods!!!

SONY lie?
They probably are, actually. They are hoping that the launch over here will be so much better than that of U.S and Japan.
They must have given out loads of units, I mean, Virgin Megastores website still says 'Hurry, Pre-Order now!'...even though the console launches in less than 3 hours!

i think they will be plenty on the shelves tomorrow aswell, having said that my friend tried pre-ordering from argos last week and they would not take an order from him telling him the allocation was full, unfortunately he only has argos vouchers therefore he has to wait a bit..... great shame im getting one first !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's weird though...that the video was of people playing on the PS3 booth in London I think, and the light was glowing...MAYBE IT'S FOR EUROPE ONLY! (for waiting so long!...haha, full report tomoro)
