UK: PS3 and a FREE HDTV???
This is unbelievable!!

I've been working through the night and I just heard the news of the PS3 launch down in London. I knew that Sony were planning something big along with launch partners Virgin Megastores....but as if giving away a copy of Resistance to all people in the queue wasn't enough, Sony didn't stop there......they also gave EVERYONE in the queue a 46 inch Sony Bravia Plasma HDTV worth around £2,500 as well!! Around 120 people (not a lot admittedly) turned up at midnight for the launch and just a couple of minutes before launch the news was broken to them. In addition to this they were also laying on games and food, as well as getting everyone a taxi home to ensure their safety.
Now THIS really is the way to launch a machine

Sony certainly were true to their word of giving us UK'ers the launch we deserved and I think this will go a long way to proving they really do have a conscience afer all. Definitely not bad for that hard earned £425. I only wish I was there lol

I really do hope that this marks the turn of fortunes for Sony and the PS3.

Only 120 people? You guys should've made the trip down... and called in sick. Would've made more off of the TV than working that night.

Yeah 120 isn't a lot but it's not surprising since there's been a large amount of preorders and mail orders so standing in queues doesn't really make a lot of sense.....unless you get a free TV for your toubles that is lol
