ok...so this is how my weekend panned out....

:Picked up my PS3 with resistance and x-men the last stand on blu ray

:played my PS3 for a few hours till 6pm

:woke up saturday and played all day till 8pm when i went out

:woke up sunday and played a little, had dinner and then played allday till 7pm

on sunday i completed resistance and was blown away at that game....the best release game ever! (my friend still doesnt think PS3 is better than 360...even though i own both and proved to him....shown him quake 4 and fall of man...which looked better eh?.......still couldn't take it lol) then after i completed resistance i had my first taste at blu ray dvd's in HD...and O........M.......G! truely amaizing!!!!

Want my score on the PS3? 10/10 =D

btw my PS3 doesn't get hot (very cool actually) after playing hours on end and is very quiet..................................=]btw can you guys recogmend me a game...i'm going to pick a new one up tommorow................and i need help choosing.

I noticed that only one end of the PS3 gets warm, this is the end where the power pack is housed. The rest of it stays remarkably cool. I'm very pleasantly surprised by this because a lot is going on under that shiny black shell and the heat ditribution is handled very well. It it slightly bigger than the 360 but I'd rather have that than have an external power pack the size of a Trident Submarine lol

I recommend motorstorm. I also have Resistance but since Motorstorm it hasn't had much of a play. I also picked up FNR3 today. I owned that on the PS2 so I knew what to expect with that. (Stunning fighter models)

Yesterday I took my PS3 to my gf's house and she loved it. She sent a text to her bro to let him know I got me a PS3 and he said that the Wii is better (even though he's never been on one) and the PS3 is shit (ditto what I said about Wii). If only people were willing to have a try before bashing it, I'm sure their opinions would change. I get sick of all the bad press, it's thoroughly undeserved.

yeah, well the only side of my PS3 gets hot is where the fans are.......and i agree with you about the power brick....it was so annoying when you wanted to move the 360 but had to find a parking space for the brick lol

so you reckon motorstorm?...will it last me longer than 3 days? lol

btw i think you should play FoM more because its such a brilliant game...especially towards the end. =D

I will get around to it eventually.

The thing I found with Motorstorm is that it's unlike any racing game I've ever played and I'm not just saying that because it's the new thing. It is a genuinely unique racer. The way that the actual surface of the track changes from lap to lap due to being worn down by trucks is really brilliant as it affects your handling. It is very hard and the lack of any offline multiplayer is a bit of a disappointment. I haven't tried it out online yet because I don't have my wireless router yet (but I'm working on that). I was in my local GAME store today buying fight night and there was a kid behind me trading Motorstorm in. He said he didn't like it because it was too hard online and also because he had a headset but the voice chat didn't work on it. I have also read that in reviews, it seems pretty fierce and challenging online. Something to bear in mind, I'm looking forward to trying it out though

EDIT: If you're unsure about Motorstorm I recommend renting it first. I got it because it came as part of my bundle but if I didn't then that is what I would do.

my weekend was pretty much the same,pick up ps3 with motorstorm and resistance, play all friday night after work and most of saturdat until i remembered i did actually have a girlfriend and she wanted 2 go out,lol, did that n played all sunday, altho it was only on sunday that i attempted any campaign modes on either game, online multiplayer woz jus too tempting for me, especially on resistance, its so sweet.

yea i was really impressed with the lack of ps3 heat, i have been playing with it on the floor rather than tucked away on my tv stand where there was nowhere 4 heat to escape, simply in fear of overheating, but like you guys only one side gets warm, and i would not call it really or dangerously warm,

Well im gutted,I picked up my P$3 on Friday at about 07:40 along with Motorstorm, FoM, NBA Homecourt and F1, VT3 on 360 and SSX on Wii. I have played a total of 20mins ALL weekend on my machine(s)! Gutted

I just cant seem to find time to play the damn thing. I have a 360 with a few games still in their shrink wrap and also some Wii titles too! I love my games, but time just escapes me! HELP!!! God help me when stuff like Mass Effect, Alan Wake etc come out for 360!!

i have all 3 also.........but only find time to play on one...........my PS3 =] ever since i got it i aint touched my Wii or 360 and i have a few good titles on 360 like crackdown, gow, cod3 ect..........but i think that the games i have owned so far for my PS are far better than any 360 game out............................................res istance and motorstorm =]

Hmmm, I have to say, Rainbow 6 Vegas is my fave game on any system at the moment (has been since xmas). The single player on realistic is awesome, and the online multi player...well.......lets just say NOTHING touches it, not when you have your head set on, working as a team, its unrivaled. I only hope for the P$3 only peeps on here, that the PS version is as good online and the headsets are as a major part as they are on 360!! THEN, online will have come to the P$3!! Great stuff. Not played Motorstorm online yet tho, looking 4ward to trying to get some time on it!

Oh my. Any game looks better than Quake IV. Some store had it on sale a month ago for £2!! They could not sell that bloody game.

But I have to agree that R: FOM and Motorstorm both look nice. What BlueRay movie did you see?
