Hi guys,
Got my ps3 on friday and havent been off it since. Awesome stuff!

anyways, i want to get going with the whole "chat" thing.

So what do peeps think are the best head sets for the ps3 then?

also are their any compatability issues with bluetooth heads sets?
Just dont want to falk out for a really good one and find it doesnt work.

i have been using my o2 bluetooth headset when playin resistance online, works fine,not sure wot it sounds like to other people tho, its cool bein able 2 talk but few people bother, im lookin forward 2 using that feature during co-op modes on future games such as rainboew six and ghost recon

If you want the highest fidelity, then go with a really expensive Bluetooth headset or a USB one (like from the SOCOM games). I went with a fairly cheap ($30) Bluetooth and it works just fine.

Like NightCougar said, not many people are aware that you can use a headset so few people chat. It will take awhile but I think that will change.

So how does that work then with resiistance cougar?
i have played online but no heard anyone talking. can u only talk to peeps that are in your buddys list or can u talk to anyone on resistance?

Also you sound like some one who nos his stuff!! just wondered if you now how to set backgrounds like on the psp? i thought they were going give the ps3 that ability in the latest firmware update?

Well i have a M2500 Plantronics headset and it works great but you choose which one u want

i have only seen it working when on team deathmatch because it lets u talk 2 ur team n not the enemy, but as i said few people have headsets to talk back, not to mention the fact that using head sets to work out tactics and so on is pretty useless for resistance cuz its a high octane all out frag fest, such features will be better 4 tactical games soon 2 be released

yeah its rather high octane isnt it! i bloody love it.
I caunt figure out how to search for games where u can spawn as many times as you like.
the other types or a bit pants where u can only spawn twice and then have to wait for the game to finish.

I am using a Treo headset and can get it to register and test the mic etc but when I try and use it while playing Motorstorm I can't hear anything! Has anyone else had similar?

i am having problems with my bluetooth headset and just wondering if anyone knows how to fix it...
i keep having to turn it on and off just to make it work, and when i try to use my headset it kicks me offline or makes my controller not work.
anyone have any suggestions??

there is tons of people wit headsets when i play, but i live in north america. especially on resistance. there is at least 3 or more people with headsets almost every team based game.

Same here.

However, it does work in motorstorm SOMETIMES.

Sometimes, when I am in the lobby waiting for a game to begin...nothing, no sound. I turn my headset off, then on again...and then, it comes on.

Try this.

Sometimes it takes a while, and after I went through all that trouble there was NOBODY else who had a headset!

Thanks for that I'll try it either tonight or tomorrow and yes Lostdog is my PSN id.

Does anyone know what NAT type they are? This is a shown under the PS3 network testing, should say underneath UPnP (universal Plug 'n' play) settings.

i have been using my logitech bluetooth headset which i bought from asda for £25 and it has been working great.The sound and mike are good quality,the only problem was i had to set it up twice to work on my ps3
