LOL I do see Charlie's point. I was hoping it would have been some new info...
But, Charlie, you have to remember that everyone gets the news at different times!! Not everyone reads a PS3 article a day. Do you see what I mean??

I hate how everyone who has an Xbox 360 whines about HOME and says its stupid and a rip off of Sims. I would bet my life is microsoft made something like this they would drool and rub it in our faces.

So very true CBE.
But so far I have not heard ANYONE say it is a stupid idea or a Sims rip off.
This is because it is neither. It is a great way to start online games and so much more!!
I just can't wait!!!!!

Yea it's going to be awesome. As for the people who say it's stupid and a rip off, go to ps3power.com's forums, it's full of xbox fanboys! The whole place is pure microsoft except for like 3 people.

My Brother works for Sony designing HOME and has given me a decent insite in to what its all about. I think it will be an awesome world though my biggest question to him was - wont it stop people playing games which is what the machine is designed for in the first place. Surely there are only so many hours in the day??

Well I guess its down to different lives and stuff. I'll only ever play games for a couple of hours at a time as I have got other stuff to do, though I know some people devote their lives to games and online activity and I think it is aimed at these sorts of people. Not that there is anything wrong with that - i play golf and I can imagine people see that as being a total waste of time.
He exact description as to whether i'd like it or not is here:
'Think of it like this. Imagine that you've got yourself a God of War themed personal space, maybe it's a greek temple or something that looks just like a section from the game, but it's YOUR space, to customise how you want and to show off only to those people you invite to it. You've got a whopping great set of Blades of Chaos in glowing platinum sat on a pedastal in pride of place, a trophy you only get for completing God of War 3 on Uber Hard mode. You've got a Gorgon's head on a plaque on a wall as a result of being the fastest GOW player to beat a Gorgon based challenge set specifically by the creators and run online a couple of nights ago - you're the only one in the world to have that trophy. There's pictures of you, Alix, anything you want distributed about the place - if it's on your PS3 hard drive, it can be used. There's replays of you mashing up Zeus, or setting a personal best laptime in MotorStorm, or hell, just a video of Ryan being a fool in the Volley you took on your phone playing in a frame on the wall. You've customised your character avatar with Kratos's tattoos. Then you can leave there, visit the GOW lobby, where everyone else who loves the game hangs out. You can challenge them to multiplayer games, take to them about how to get past a difficult bit, bask in the fact that everyone knows your username and knows you're one of the best GOW players going.
And that's all just for one game. Never mind the hundreds of others there'll be. And then you've got all the other spaces, the 3D Nike Town where you can go and look at real world products, order them, and they turn up at your front door next day. Maybe go to the Sky Sports Golf lounge and watch live streaming Ryder cup footage or launch into a game of Tiger Woods with Ryan (or whoever else you know has a PS3 and that game).
This is what we're working on and it could be massive. Again, it's not for everyone as there's still a real world out there, but you look at how popular MySpace and YouTube and blogging is, then look at how many people might buy a PS3 if they can do all that plus more in full 3D, and we think we might be on to a winner here. If we don't **** it up.'
Yes I love GOW and cant wait for friday when I get number 2 - hence the example. Alix is my missus and Ryan is my mate btw! lol
Any good?
