Gamespot gives calling all cars a 6.7
i havent played this game but judging from other sites i hear it will be fun. i dont know why gamespot is always ragging on ps3 stuff.

I want it when it hits the store and I will definitely be getting it. It will be fun in multiplayer. I wouldn't pay too much attention to gamespot they are very biased against anything Sony/PS3 related.

Like what games? Then again, I tend to agree with their numbers.

Reviews provide some good info as to what the game does well and what kind of flaws it has.

i tend to like ign because they dont suger coat it but you still get a real rating. gamespot for me is a little 360 biased, therefore making ps3 stuff lower than usual, because there have been some games now that are just as good as stuff on 360

I think IGN tends to inflate their scores. The majority of their reviews are scored higher than GS and remember 9.9 for San Andreas?

i just notice they rate 360 games a lot higher, especially games of the same quality, like resistance (8.6) and gears of war (9.6). by the way san andreas got a high rating of 9.6 not 9.9, same as gears of war, which i say has much less content which should effect the rating. or go back to the downloadable scene, geometry wars got a 8.2 which doesnt have much content while calling all cars got a 6.7. The game is 10 bucks, put that into consideration. Downloadable games will have less content, because they are only 10 doallar distraction from big games.

Resistance isn't quite on the level as Gears, sorry.

As I said, 9.9 for San Andreas from IGN is bloated. You can't compare San Andreas to Gears, considering the completely different genres, the giant gap between the graphics and the lack of online multiplayer in San Andreas.

Considering how Geometry Wars costs half as much as Calling All Cars.

i agree that they cant be compared but san andreas deserved a high score. you can't knock it cause of lack of online multiplayer and graphics... at the time of release it deserved a high score, (maybe more around 9.2) at that time i really can't remember any other game in the same catergory which was as good as san andreas...

San Andreas wasn't that good. I prefer Vice City. Also I watched some videos of Calling All Cars and it looked like shit. It might be fun but it sure doesn't look like it would be.

reviews do provide good info, but thats from someone else's point of view, and as for the flaws it depends what kind of flaws ur talking about and u have to know if its just made up on the spot.
thats ur problem if u agree with their numbers but u should know better, then again thats just u.

I agree with you Dave. Reviews are just somebody else's personal opinion and opinions differ from person to person. For example Charlie thinks GoW is better than Resistance but I happen to think otherwise. It's exactly the same with reviews. They are a good way to get information on a game but if a game gets a high score it's not a guarantee that you will like. As mentioned GoW got fantastic reviews but apart from the brilliant graphics I find it boring as hell.

The best way for finding the true score of a game is reader reviews. If a large portion of people think a game is shit then it probably is.

a large portion of people think the ps3 is shit....
a large portion of people thought that the world was flat....
games like dynasty warriors allways had gotten a bad review, saying that its too repetitive etc. but i dont care, i still love them.
best way for finding the true score of a game is to rent it out and check it out yourself.
