It is good news definitely. Only problem is, not that it's just one one site, but it's only for one small island too. Unfortunately the world won't pay too much attention to this, and will probably look to the PS3's TERRIBLE sales in Japan.

This just goes to show that Sony should really start paying more attention to the European market, since it appears we're the only ones that are still holding the PS3 up at the moment.
I have concerns about the future of the PS3. It does seem to be fairly secure in Europe, but we're not a big enough market for Sony to depend on, it really does need to pick up a lot in both America and Japan, and the longer time goes on I can't help that it seems that bit more unlikely.

yes that is a good point! it is a step in the right direction though and it also shows that if you drop the price below 400 quid people start buying!!

Yeah it's definitely a step in the right direction once you get past that psychological £400+ barrier. There is a huge market out there for Sony, but so far they're not touching them. I know it's early days for Europe but in Japan where it's been on the market for over 6 months this looks pretty disastrous.
Sometimes I think Sony have lost their way. There have been constant disappointments surrounding PS3 ever since it was first announced in 2005, the omens were bad from the start and things have only got worse.
September- christmas will be crucial, this is when we should start to see things get moving once Sony roll out the big guns. If, by New Year 2008 nothing has changed I think the future of the PS3 will be decided. Sony cannot continue taking losses indefinitely, there will come a time when something has to give.
Until then I hold my breath.
One thing is for certain, whatever happens, I will NEVER get a 360

well i had 2 360's and they have both failed!! i was looking at the thread regarding the games that have been announced and it is pretty impressive! i also think that developers are starting to see the potential of the ps3, if you look at drakes fortune for example, i read an article on this on the games radar site and the developer said that the ps3 was, oh i cant remember. its in here somewhere http://www.gamesradar.com/gb/ps3/gam...19152841203068 lets cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Come on Waterman, me and you, we'll go on a crusade. A crusade to get the PS3 noticed, and to try to get those bigoted people that criticise it without even trying it to see the error of their ways.

Yeah, it'll be like the 300 Spartans against the 1 million persians. But instead of 300 of us there's only 2 against.....er....around 6 billion. But we can do this!! I have faith!! WE SHALL BE VICTORIOUS!!

Why are we the only ones in this thread? Are we really alone? Does nobody else have the guts, the will to stand up and fight the masses, to preserve our very freedom and liberty? So be it!! We shall fight valiantly but the fire in our hearts will pull us through. It won't be easy, but we will win.

BTW Waterman when does Vegas come out? I don't really like R6 but it looks so good I don't think I can resist

i cant wait for vegas, i think it is out end of the month! i will be getting it, however i still need a headset and also we just moved house so i got to wait a couple of weeks to get my internet sorted at home! rb6 is best played online!! its so much fun!! i had it on the 360 and i loved it!! will you be getting it skoota?

You guys are acting as if after all that hype and all the millions that have gpone into it, it will do a Dreamcast. I don't quite think that is going to be allowed by Sony. Lets not forget that Sega flopped after that. Sony has got Walkmans, TVs etc. They'll sort it out I'm sure. I'm not a fanboy either. I hate their walmans. Their TVs are sweeeeet. I never had a PS2, I thought xbox was better. Just to let you know.
