what racing game do u think is the best and will it continue to be the best?.

my choice::

Gran Turismo series
Midnight Club 3 dub edition
Need for speed
Ridge racer

Motorstorm is an increadible start for the offroad racing style and it looks like it will continue to be, this is just the begining. with the PS3 we are gonna be seeing some increadible stuff.

gran turismo, only because the begining of the games with those movies and opera music gives me goosbumps when i have the sound on really loud..

no it really is GT series...

But it is so realistic and there are so many cars.

never been a racing game fan but used to be totally addicted to the wipeout games, they are they only racing style games that im good at, aint they makin a new wipeout

Id proberly go for Midnight club dub edition. I love the way you could customize the cars.

WipEout Pure on PSP was a stunning return to form after the pretty rubbish WipEout Fusion on PS2. Motorstorm is also up there with my fave racing games. I used to love GT but they're getting boring now, even the new GTHD is almost identical to GT4 and GT3 but with nicer graphics, it's just not new enough to make me want to play it.

Can't believe none of you have mentioned BURNOUT!!!! Number 3 was the best. Revenge was crap.

Burnout's one of my fav series just for the fun factor i.e. it doesn't take itself too seriously.

That said, I'm a massive fans of all things car, so Gran Turismo is my top car game. It can be a little dull, but the new drift aspect and the ability to modify the cars a little more visually will be a good addition. Plus they've got Ferrari finally

Went back a while ago and tried the first Gran Turismo and have to say it was actually rather rubbish. Yeah, it was the first and I can see it was early days, but the jump between that and the second one is massive. That said, always annoyed me in the 2nd one I could never save more than 100 cars on my memory card. Had to be really selective with my garage (duno if anyone else had that problem).

Also really loved the first Need for Speed. Still have it and think it's still as good as GT2 for driveability plus you can have properly huge crashes...in Lamborghini Diablos

Apart from that, I liked Micro Machines. Was better top down IMO, but the full 3D one's were ok. Also Super Monaco GP on the Mega Drive, played that for an unhealthy amount of time and the rather underrated Rock and Roll Racing on both the MD and SNES...was great in 2 player mode.

Finally, the first 2 Driver games were brilliant. Lost their way a bit with the PS2 sequels though. Of course Driver leads me to GTA and I need not say how great that series is...roll on GTA4

BURNOUT BURNOUT oh and BURNOUT. Also Mario Kart on snes and F-Zero on Cube can't be forgotten. Road Rash was cool and hopefully possible re-make or brand new one materialises.

forgot about Road Rash. That is a rather good option for a remake, me and a mate were talking about that very subject the other day as well

Was always a Sega person rather than Nintendo, that said I own an equal amount of each console...Mega Drive II, Mega CD II, Nintendo GameBoy and an N64. Played Mario Kart a few times and have it on the PC as part of my emulated retro games collection. I've also got F-Zero on the N64, which plays pretty decent, though still don't have a memory card for game saves

Was always Ninty until ps2 and had more choices so just got both. Need For Speed 11 vid I saw yesterday looks cool. Only good ones was Underground and Most Wanted. Hope this one is a franchise winner. Need a good one. Tried Carbon on mates ps3 and didn't like.

i played burnout and its not good its not racing its just crashing its fun to people who cant drive and just wana crash every couple seconds. for example if u play burnout and then play fran turismo u will get destroyed in races that is if u get through the license first lol.
