hnupe3 is on a distinguished road
May get rid of my PS3..Please help
I currently have a PS3 and the other system of which my PS3 is not being used because I have a 52 inch 1080i older tv which does 1080i/420p. I stick with the other system because it can do 1080i. Current Ps3 games are only doing 720p which downscales to 420p on my TV. Do you think Sony will address this problem? If you Sony is not going to address this issue then I must decide if I should get rid of my TV or get rid of my PS3 and stick with the other system.

Dude just buy a new TV. You can probably sell your old TV on ebay if it works ok. Having an Xbox360 and a PS3 is way better than having just one.

I have the same issue....my HDtv is older....no HDMI....and only 1080i and 480p.

But I'll be damned if im gunna get rid of my ps3 because the tech changed....
thats the dumbest thing i've heard......

and on my tv I dont see much diff...I bought Gundam just cause it was 1080i and I wanted to see what it looked like...(the game is crap tho)
It looked good, but I really couldnt see a huge difference.....

I will upgrade to LCD in the future, but its just fine for now.....yes, downscale sucks....but is it really worth getting rid of the ps3?

dont get rid of your ps3 man, just because you have a piece of equip that outmodes another doesnt mean you loose the best bit of kit on the market. theres still a lot to come from the ps3 and you'll kick yourself

u should get a new tv ur gonna have problems with an old model tv, just get a new tv, ur crazy thinking about getting rid of ur PS3, get a NEW TV!!!!!!.
