Father of PS steps down
I don't know if you've heard but according to GamesTM, on 19th June Ken Kutaragi will step down from his position as Sony director, chairman and CEO. There are rumours that his departure is not his own choosing. What are your views?

BTW did you know he helped develop LCD technology and the Nintendo 64 chip?

he aint ****ed up anything, the PS3 is fine. it's in the exact same position as it's little bruv, the PS2 when it was released.

lol. Not even close. PS2 sold 11 million units in it's first year on the market. PS3 has lost Sony $1.8 billion. If that isn't a failure then I don't know what is. Now don't get me wrong, if they can turn it around and make that money back then it will be a success but right now, that isn't happening.

Once the cost of manufacturing the parts goes down. Microsoft were losing money too but now they're making a profit on each console, albeit a small one... and you can bet that the Elite is selling for a profit.
Nintendo have always been smart in that respect, they've always sold their consoles for a profit right from the word go so even though the Gamecube only sold 21 million units, they were always making money on it so it was never really a failure. |

sony losing $1.8billion isn't all that bad compaired to how much they are worth and plus with some of the new games coming in a few months: assassins creed, gta4; and then christmas.......need i say more

well most of those games are not sonys, so they won't be getting money for them. and 1.8 BILLION is alot of money, no matter how much sony corp is worth, thats an awful lot of money to loose.
