HDTV / tube tv PLEASE HELP!
I have a large Zenith tube tv. Should I not buy the PS3, since I dont have a HDTV? I know the details are awesome on a HDTV, but will it be that bad with a regular tube tv?

I wouldn't. I tried hooking my 360 up to a SDTV once and it looked like shit. So get a cheap HDTV first.

when i first got my ps3 i had a tube and the graphics were great but the tube i had was able to use component cables with my ps3 so that made the graphics 10x better than the regular av cables that came with it. But now i have a samsung 32in 720p hdtv and the graphics look 50x better than the tube so hd makes a difference but tube is ok to start off with if your going to buy an hdtv sooner or later.

paint, shut up mate. It looks great no matter what tv you play on, but just looks alot better on HDTV.

Unlike FITZ, i allready had a HDTV when i got my PS3..but when i first got my 360 i had a SDTV. It looked great til i got a HDTV...WOW the result is amaizing......=O

so just get it, enjoy it and save up for a HDTV another time.

iv not got an hdtv ...infact its not a great tv but hell still kicks the ass off my ps2 and the grafix i think look great...sure u get a hdtv or w/e u want n it will look guud but just get a ps3 first !!!

Eh, whatever, I can't stand to watch anything in SD anymore. It looks so shitty by comparison. It might look fine to you if you aren't used to HD though. Or maybe you could hook it up to a computer monitor, as they are almost always HD.

well i can't watch anything in SD no more........because i too own a HDTV....but there is nothing wrong with owning a SDTV =/ it wil still look good

and ALL pc monitors are hd

No they aren't. There are monitors that have resolutions of 640 X 480. Look at the original Macintosh, it had a 512 x 342 BW screen.

If you have a monitor it is most likely HD, but that doesn't mean all of them are and they always have been. You can't seriously think that monitors just skipped to HD and have always had good resolutions.

i dont even think tube tvs have resolutions lol because when i look close at mine i see lots of lines
