HELP...What firmware do i use on my Jap PS3
Hi,
Im really rubbish with games consoles, and have no idea how to go about updating firmware for my Jap 20GB PS3!!!

Do i have to use Jap firmware or can i use US and UK versions?

I went to play the PAL version of Resistance and it stated that i had to update from 1.30 to at least 1.50!!!! before it would play!

Where do i obtain this.....as i'm desperate to start gaming!!!

ermm don't you just press ok? and then the game downloads the update itself?..

if not then connect to the network and download it off thier...

oh =/...

well go onto sony's site and download it off there

it will tell you what to do ect then just save it on a USB stick or summit, then put it onto the PS3 that way.

btw why do you have a jap ps3? lol

Got it for £150!!!

Can i use UK firmware? Or does it have to be Jap?

Just go to system update on the XMB under settings.

Yeh, but i'm not rigged to the net on the PS3...i've got a laptop and a mediastick so will have to use that!!! But i'm still baffled about what firmware to use...Jap or UK!

Probably Japanese. I'm not sure what UK firmware would do. I know if you update a Wii with firmware from a different region it bricks it, so I would stick to Japanese.
