R.I.P 60gb PS3
SCEE president David Reeves has told GamesIndustry.biz that the 60GB PlayStation 3 will no longer be available in the US after stock sells out - which he predicts will occur by the end of the month.

i think they are afraid that ps3 60Gb will be more less the same price as xbox360 elite.

i think it is a good move...they sell out the rest of the 60gb models and the new models are back to 600 but you get a game...so it is basically still 60 bucks cheaper you are just paying for the game

also, if someone wanted to upgrade there harddrive im sure that sony will release a 80gig harddrive for people who just want the upgrade.

why release a 80gig HDD when you can allready buy 120 gig models? (hdd's)...

nah i don;t think they will drop the 60GB model. that would put them back to sqaure one. the sales have rocketed since the price drop and i think sony would want this to continue. sony europe just talking out their arses coz they don't wanna drop the price as well

Europe suck so much when it comes to electronic stuff.

599 euros is like ripping off, and they don't wanna drop the price? somewhere on earth the same console (Hong Kong, 60 Giga) is being sold at around 385 euros ALL TAXES INCLUDED.

well because N.America got a price cut n everything, since we don't get jack shit over here in europe sony have decided that because you guys got that..we get a load more for the exact same price. 2 free controllers AND 2 free games including the 60gig £425 ps3. which is the normal price for it anyway..
