I've just bought a 360 - that should keep me occupied until the rush is over and more games are released, then I'll chop in my 360 and head for the PS3, but I agree, it'll be years before they start discounting them.

The only other way is to look out for a used one, after about a year, you should be able to get a reasonable deal then.

Yeah, it's a better deal at this point -- Best Buy and other places were offering bundles between $400-500. Also, the XBox 360 has comparable graphics which is good, cause you don't want to compromise on that (at least I don't).

After a year, hopefully the price will have dropped enough to get a new PS3 without having to go a month without electricity...
