is it normal for the screen to get warm? and is its warm for a long time due to long hours of gaming will that effect the screen in anyway?

The liquid crystal display does fade, but that's a long long way off yet.

my screen is as bright as the day i brought it (over a year ago now) and yes it does heat up a little but every lcd display does that, so don't worry about it =]

Yeah it will get warm. Do you have an LCD monitor for your pc? If you do I'm surprised you've never noticed it on that. Also you ask if it will affect the lifetime of it. The answer is no, they're TV's and as such are designed to be on for prolonged lengths of time. A bit of heat is usually not a problem. Also this may put your mind at ease slightly, LCD TV's are usually hard wearing than plasma ones because plasma TV's suffer from a 'burn-in' which basically means if you have lots of stationery images on screen for long periods of time it actually burns an image into the screen so it's visible when it's turned off. LCD tv's also suffer from this but not to the same extent, therefore LCD's are better for gaming purposes

well i dont know exactly but it makes the screen go darker! why? i dont know.

thanks for all the responses , yea game mode does make it slightly darker, it says game mode enhances the screen for games but to me it looks better with game mode off, i still have it on though, again thanks for all the replys.
