LCD screen question

ok, when my tv is off and u look closely at the screen there is some kind of marks on it NOT scratches but kind of like a streak there's a few of them, the LCD shows perfectly, its just the streak like marks on it, anyone know what this is and is it normal?.

Your question is confusing.

Odds are that it is something on the outside of the screen, so try either cleaning it with a microfiber cloth and a little water (just enough to dampen the cloth lightly) or get sone screen cleaner.

The other possibility is burnt in pixels. If you leave an image on a screen to long ( a game on pause or something like that) it will burn the pixels and after effects of the image will remain on the screen.

Unless you have left a game on pause ofr on the menu for a long time, or you play very leon sessions of the same game (like a racing game where the speedometer is in the corner of the screen and doesn't move from that place. The it is probally the first thing

I don't think it's anything to worry about, especially if it's not affecting anything when it's turned on. I don't have any marks on mine so mine must be great!

yeah when the screens's on it works perfectly it just has that smudge mark when its off and u look close, anyways any of ur tv's have game mode personaly it s better off all it does is show more detail in dark areas and it makes the pic a little bit gray, i dont use it, i do use the dynamic setting because its the best and brightest one, i did tweak it a bit though.

LCD screens do that, alot of friends who have lcd tvs have little strips/streaks and/or square pixel dots that have gone blank, some only when the tv is on, some only when the tv is off, some both.
if u still got warranty, take ur tv in.. if not... use it till it breaks and buy a plasma. lol
its a known problem for lcd tvs

if its not what im talking about u might want to try some tv forums and it might be a setting of some sort, but to me it sounds like what i was talking about.. if that makes any sense.. good luck!

Oh, i thought you were talking about the ghost aftereffects of images on you screen, or that it was just dirty. I se what you mean now. Even my tv has those streaks. I think it is something to do with the "film" coating the screen.

when its on theres no streak of whatever those marks are, i also saw a few lines on the screen which went away when i changed the HDMI cable to another input, yeah i also got a six year plan so if anything shows on the screen ill just take it back to the store simple.
