PS3 DAMAGED after 4 Hours!!!
Hi,
I just bought a new PS3 for 900 Swiss Francs (800$).
I played for a couple of hours and suddenly it switches off. I pressed the switch on button but nothing happens. Waited 5mins and took the power cable out and tried again. It switched itself on for 2sec and back to off.
What kind of BS is this??? Also I noticed how hot it gets on the right side.
Im gonna have to bring it back to the shop today!
Did anyone else experience sush lameness?

It does get pretty hot but thats normal. but if it is broke thats hard luck.

Is it in an enclosed area or open? If its in an enclosed area it will over heat very quickly put it on a desk flat in the open.

hi,
i brought it back today. surprisingly the vendor didn't ask that much questions, took it out, hooked it up, noticed the fault, and gave me prompt a new one.
i've been playing with the new one for also about 4hrs now. still working fine!! 
hope it stays that way.

That's a strange one as the system is very well built,If it happens again I am sure it will not so for anyone else who may have a similar problem,if you get no replacement from the vender contact the Sony help line for your country and they will contact the vendor on your behalf.

That happened to me too.
I had my ps3 and probally played it for 5-6 hours the first day, and the second day it wouldn't work.
The problem was a bad power supply, (totally random, and very unlikely to occur.)
