A question about the ps3
hey all
I was just wondering if there is a certain requirement that your t.v must have to play the ps3?
I know that HD is recommended to get the full experience but I only have that downstairs in my living room. It's not a MUST to have a HD t.v is it?

You can play it on any tv it just looks better on HD.

don't worry i played mine on a regular standard tv for quite a bit before i got an hdtv and it was just fine
now that i play it on an hdtv though i will never go back...lol i do all the time at my uncles house...he don't have hdtv like me haha

i got a 32 inch samsung lcd hdtv that runs at a max 1080i. its still good high definition bt i will defo be upgrading to 1080p sum time nxt year. probably a 46inch

Same here Ricky, got no complaints with mine at all. Had it as an insurance replacement TV cos my old Sammy 27" bit the dust out of the blue 
I'm still messing with the settings to get the best out of it.
How is yours set up m8ty? I've got my PS3 and TV running through a HDMI cable and it's running at 1080i but I'm still adjusting it here and there.
Please tell , please, please, please

mine is also running at the same thing, according to my ps3. to get the best out of it the best thing u could do is reduce the brightness, colour, sharpness and contrast to about 45-60. anywhere between that is about perfect. the best game to test it on is motorstorm. i did and now it looks pretty mint. i also tested it on casino royale and rocky balboa - OMFG!!! |

my sharpness is about 45 too colour think its 50 something, contrast is 90 when iam using my PS3 and 80 when watching cable, took some tweaking around to get the picture right but its good now, madden 08 is good to set it too

ur tv won't last long with the contrast that high. ur screen will burn away quicker than u can say....erm....burn away lol.
plus, it looks better if reduced to about 60 or less, trust me

its only that high when iam playing a game, on menus etc its on 80, i was thinking of lowering it a bit maybe to 70

My contrast for gaming is on 90 for Component (Wii and 360) and HDMI (PS3) and 75 for VGA (my PC).
Looks best on those settings.
