Hi, I'm looking into getting a PS3 Sunday becaue my local Best Buy is getting a shipment in then. I need to know though if as of today (12-27-06) if they are still having major glitches or if they are getting them resolved and if these newer batches have the glitches worked out and are doing fine. Please give input as I need as much as possible before Sunday so I can consider the information into the buying of the beloved PS3. Thanks for any input.

There's no way to know really, unless you buy one (which is risky). As hard as it is to do, I think you should wait. The PS2 didn't get most of its bugs worked out until the SCPH-50000 models were manufactured; I don't remember how long it took, but that time frame should give an idea of how long to wait.

But can't I just return the PS3 to my Best Buy within 14 or 30 days (depending on the return policy)? Also should I get a warranty on it?
