Firmware update - Impressions?
only had 10 mins to download and play with it before leaving the house for work this morning. Tried playing 2 movies direct from a usb memory stick - I thought they were both divx. It played one as a Mpeg4 and the other it picked up as Divx but labellel it as 'unsuported data'. Anyone had more success - I read it won't play divx 3 or something ... Is this a a widely used type of Divx?

Gonna give it a try in a few hours, i've got stacks of old DivX cd's that i was getting ready to bin, so hopefully this update will give good playback for them.
Although i suspect it might take another update on top of this to tweak the playback.

Well it's no good for me. I've never used DivX and I don't use the music player either so for me it's a pretty pointless update. What I'm really waiting for is the Blu-ray profile 1.1 update.

Just tried it with an old movie I had on a memory stick.
Got say I'm well impressed with it 
Gonna raid some torrents sites now for the latest movies

It allows picture in picture and other interactive enhancements. I have a few Blu-ray movies so anything that makes it a bit better is good for me. |

you might have to go to settings and enable that, but i'm not sure cause i haven't used it........but it plays wmv files now....
