Hey, In new to these forums and the PS itself; I have never owned one always a nintendo.

At this gen i currently own an Xbox360, it turns out i have one of the older wave ones that overheats/gets really noisy (manu date 21/11/06); whereas a mate of mine has one also and it has none of the problems mine has (manu date 21/11/07).

Now i was going to trade my console in towards the Elite version but i hear that still happens with that one aswell.

My mate has been convincing me to get a PS3, after researching them they look awesome, would it be worth it to trade my 360 in towards a PS3.

I've never had one of any kind until now, It's great !
A blu ray 80GB that plays PS2 and other PS. Turns the TV into a player for pics, Video, Music. I'm still learning about it.

Well, if you're looking for an all-in-one entertainment system (minus the surround sound) the PS3 is excellent.

Id keep the xbox. The PS3 does the same apart from play bluray discs which no one buys anyway. Keep the xbox for atleast another 6 months

Emino don't listen to ROB hes just a idiot who a 360 fanboy and is on the ps3chat.com. Buy the PS3 its worth it for the reasons you research and plus it has FREE online gaming and it will be getting HOME which will pretty much eliminate the menu in ways.

Im an idiot? If you read my signature it says: PS3 GAMES. And seeing as i have a PS3 and have never owned an xbox im clearly no fanboy. Have a look before you call me a fanboy dumbass.

Honestly they're so close right now, they both have an excellent array of games, though any non-fanboy will tell you 360 has a lot more good games. But there are still plenty for a PS3 owner. Also, Xbox Live honestly is better than PS3, but if you're like me and don't play video games a lot, the free online of PS3 might be better suited for you.

Another thing is a 40GB PS3 is basically a Blu-Ray Player with a free entertainment system. It's the exact same price as a plain Blu Ray player, but it also plays games etc. And all fanboy bias aside, Blu Ray has basically won the Format War. All good movies are going to be put out in Blu Ray.

Just go for the oe that you think you'd prfer the most. Your in a PS3 forum, so obviously you'll get answers like get the PS3 and vice versa with a 360 forum. But if you ask me, I'd get the PS3 (see what I mean?) because, well at least it dosen't fail on you, unlike that so called heater called 360

PS3 has had many fails so far, mine failed last week. Many of my friends have failed. And there has been many reports of fails. Mine was a GPU failure.

ive had my ps3 for over a year and have had no problems with it i like it and whenever the big exclusives come out then ill think people will enjoy it more till then tho the 360 has a wider array of games so if u can put up with the noise then i agree with rob keep the 360 for awhile
