PS3 Error Reading Disk

Iv seen a few posts around saying how its stoped reading disks... this is not unusual, there are 100's of forums with people having this problem. some say its firmware updates and other blu-ray drive components. it seems to be the blu-ray drive thats the problem it just stops reading everything. the icon will load in top right corner but thats it.

If its under warrentee ring sony in uk its 08705 99 88 77 donno america you will have to find out they will send you a new one within 2 days. No promises that this wont have any problems.

Some solutions iv heard are that you should do a restore to default after every firmware update, that is the only one iv heard

This problem seems to be with the release day ps3's and the ones made recently . it seems to be sonys version of the ring of death.

If you have this problem demand a new ps3 because they might try and give u a re-manufactured ps3 (PS3 Rebuilt).

you know what i did when my PS3 couldn't read a disc. i ejected it...cleaned off the 37 smudges and prints and fuzz and re-inserted it. HEY, look at that. it worked. as did every other disc.

CLEAN YOUR GAMES PEOPLE!

Yes but some consoles actually are faulty and its not the disks, i took my disks back and it was still hapening.
