PS3 Audio Visualizer control
I got my ps3 for the holiday, finding it at a Circuit City. Fortunately I was able to get one 4 days before Christmas in some small town that had 4-5 systems available. It was a hard decision, because like most of you, I've been a Sony Playstation fan, but the 680 dollar price tag was making my wallet cry. Since buying it Ive played the hell out of Resistance, Tony Hawk Project 8, and one of my favorites so far Fight Night, Round 3.
There are still alot of things I don't know about my ps3, and thats where I'm hoping some of you will be able to fill me in on what I've found. I was over at my friends house playing some sts9 on my ps3 that I had burned onto my hard drive. I switched to the Visualizer screen and after a couple minutes I picked up my controller and started to move around my right analog stick. Nothing happened at first, but when the animation for the small pixelated "drops" started falling in different directions I am almost 100% positive at those times you are able to control it to a certain extent. Either flipping the camera around, slowing down the drop effect or even reversing the direction that its moving in.
My friends at first thought you couldn't change anything, but after a few minutes of moving it around they also noticed that with small flickers(similar to throwing jabs with the analog with Fight Night), you could actually control the visualizer, little as it may be. There is something about being about to control the surroundings while listening to your favorite music being played that makes it really exciting. I don't understand, is this something that they implemented to happen or a fluke? Is anyone else noticing this? If its possible to control the visualizer any more than I already can? I could think of many fun things just to do with it alone. Any help would be great, I haven't been able to find anything online about it at all, so I hope someone can fill me in. Thanks
