Colored Name

Does anyone know how to make your PSN ID name colored so you can have it like green or blue or soemthing on your name when its is being displayed to others online?

Changing the color of your name is hacky and looks stupid. If you need to change your name to green to play teams or headquarters please save yourself the time, you look like a douche trying to cheat.

If you just want to do it because it looks cool, it doesnt.

Heres your answer, TRY THE SEARCH FEATURE

Took me less then 7 seconds to find out how to do it and 3 more to realize there is no reason to do it and that was ON THIS FORUM.

And if thats too tough, why not check out the thread called COLORED GAMERTAGS at the bottom of this page, could that possibly have the answer? Only one way to find out.

If thats just too much to handle as well this is how to do it:

What you need to do is google "HDD Hex Editor" then download the trial version.
Once that is done you need to get a memory stick and put it on your PS3, you then need to copy you COD4 game save onto the memory stick. Then you put then you put the memory stick in your computer and go to "my computer", click on you memory stick, then open a file called "PS3" then right click on a file called "Grado_MP" and select "Edit with Hex editor". Another window will open with alot of numbers. Then on the right hand side you will se it ssys "clan name" and it will have ---" (your clan tag here) " so you just put in that space ^1 for red, ^2 for blue just google the other colour codes. The you need to save that and the SAFLEY REMOVE THE MEMORY STICK. and then copy that onto your PS3 dontforget you have to overwrite it. The it should work.

YEAH ITS ILLEGAL YA DOLT! If you are discovered you will be Banned from online play,as say, in COD4. Is it worth it?

Have yet to see anyone get banned but if you need to make your stupid name green to get points your lame. Everyone knows how to do it and its cheap points and no one respects you. If I see it I rag on the person till they leave the room.

I don't understand 'get points'... do the green names just blend into the maps better? Or do you mean points as in like... hey your cool you got points in my book?

People make their names green so they can cheat plain and simple.

When playing teams in COD4 YOUR teamates names show in green, the opposing teams show in red. Someone who changed theirs stays green to everyone. It looks a little bit different green then the others but when your running around looking for red names it can blend in with your own team very easily. So your sitting there guarding the headquarters, or capturing the flag, or whatever team game your playing and in pops what looks to be your teamate when he walks up and pops you in the head.

When you see someone with another color then green you have to remember the dude with the blue (or whatever other color) is on or not on my team so its annoying.

Anyway its cheating and its a frigging game meant for fun so those of you that feel the need, grow the hell up.

Personally i haven't had any problems recognizing my team mates/ enemy whether they're in blue or green, but its just annoying.

Hacks/tweaks like this are old. They've existed on PC games for years but not many people do them anymore because they're that lame. You console boys are gonna be shitting bricks when the first aimbots and speedbots start coming out.

Not true at all, the coloured name stays normal when its an enemy. This discussion has been on eXo and Ps3 forums.

@johnnyredd, doesnt the uniform the person is wearing help you decide wich team there on or is that to complex for you? if you go around looking for red names above people you wont get very far

What the hell is going on with those retarted insanely mental tools that have silly coloured names. I was playing someone in cod4 that had a red name, thinking he was on the other team,cuz of the red name, shooting the living hell out of him, only to notice he was on my team. Bloody annoying!!
