hello guys i am new hear and i have a major problem with my ps3 been playin gta all day and its been fine but when i turned my ps3 on earlier this happend
it gets past the sony entertainment bit at the start and then says the hard disks file system is corrupted and will be restored then i click ok and then it get to 100% then reboots and says the same again dont know what could be up with it has any1 had or heard of anything similar and if so how did u get round it

If after restoring you're still having no luck i'd probably just format the hard drive and start fresh - although keep in mind you'll lose all your game saves etc.

You could always try ringing the Sony customer care phone line and seeking their advice.

Did you turn it off when the HDD was being accessed? If so, that would really cause some problems. It may be a possiblity, since it worked first. Were you in a rush or anything when you were quitting the game? Just turning it off without paying attention to the hdd light, could result in corrupt files.

how do i do a full restore as it wont let me near the playstation part where all the settings are etc

If you hold the buttin down for a long time might work. Formatt it, and to save your files, copy them to a thunb drive and then copy them back in when done
