It is going to be the PERFECT controller.
Period.
I can not wait to get my hands on that.

I'm so happy to know that, not only is it a real product and not one of these 'concept' things that you never see again, but it is coming to the PS3!

I just hope to god games will be designed from now on with this in mind (obviously with the ability to use classic controllers also for those who havn't been converted to motion control). But more than that, I hope the games will be able to mimick your movements with the Darwin, not just have stock movements triggered by movements. If game designers implemented that, the PS3 could potentially knock wii out of the park.

Everyone is copying eachother... First we find GHIV will have a mic and drums, and now this? Its getting rediculous for those who payed the money the first time around for Rock Band, and people who spent 600$ on a console and a conbtroller that have both been replaced by better things and have lower prices...

To me this doesnt look like a copy. It looks like taking the idea which is clearly a good one (judging by the success of the wii) and making it better.

This controller is what i've been praying for.

It is a blatant Wii copy but that doesn't make it bad imo. Unoriginal yes, but Wii has some really good advantages over PS3 + 360. Accessibility for gamers who have younger siblings or kids. Then there's the fact that the Wii Pointer system is the closest a console can come to emulating Mouse and Keyboard, except for an actual Mouse and Keyboard that is. The immersion factor is there too, subtle actions like flicking the remote to reload, add a whole new dimension to the games.

Only problem I see is that this controller needs its own games, rather than working in place of the Sixaxis.

That isn't a ps3 controller...it is just a early state development of a controller they are trying to make work for certain games. Most you read about talk about it being used for the 360. It seems pretty lame regardless.

Dualshock 3 is the best controller in my opinion.Shit this controller doesn't even look better than the sixaxis you ask me.The Wii's controller is a success with young people true,but if your above the age of 16 and find the Wii controller fun when your not drunk,then your either retarded or just plain cheap when it comes to buying a games console.Bottom line,the Wiimote isn't a controller,the Dualshock 3 and 360 wirless controller are.

If you check out the website of the guys making it, they say they are making it 'for all current platforms' It is also shown in both PS3 and 360 colour schemes, so it is pretty safe to say it is designed primarily for these two consoles.
