Using PS3 on a Non HD TV?

Hi all,

Hope you can help with my problem. I had my ps3 connected to my hd tv and was working fine. But now, due to marriage breakdown, I have had to move out and use an old CRT TV. Using the AV1 AV2, options, it doesn't seem to see the PS3. Just a blank screen.

I am using the red, yellow and white cables that came with the console. These are the same as the ps2 ones. The cables plug into a scart converter which plugs into the scart port at the back of the TV.

My xbox 360 works fine this way. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Do I have to reconnect to a HD TV and set something in the console? Am I using the right cables?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
Christian
