I pre-ordered my console yesterday (£50 deposit in GAME)
I am sure the PS3 will be worth the wait.
The only down fall I see at the moment is my lack of HDTV...which really is quite essential to see all the new visuals being pumped out onto the screen! (Oh, and the fact that the EU model cant play as many PS2 titles...which kinda sucks. We wait ages, and then they strip the console down...but hey, I dont mind! Im keepin my PS2 anyways)
Also, due to the wait, we get better titles available as soon as the console goes on sale (Virtua Fighter 5, Motorstorm, Oblivion etc etc), whereas when the Japan and American PS3 was released...hardly any software.
So yea, taking all this into account, Im sure it will be worth the wait. The EU launch will be better than America and Japan, I thinks.

I agree with what you said about HDTV. I too don't have one but Chris it gives you something to look forward to because you know PS3 games will still look good on standard def but you know there's better things to come when you do finally get a HDTV  I also agree with what you said about the EU launch being better than Jap and US, given the amount of software that we're getting, it's definitely a good thing. The extra wait will be worth it.
Also, what you said about the EU PS3 not playing as many PS2 titles...Yes this is true but Sony have confirmed that on launch the PS3 will be able to play 1000 PS2 titles and with future firmware updates this will certainly increase

Sorry m8, dont agree at all. As a gaming fan, the 360 is an awesome bit of kit. The online gaming is 2nd to non. The P$3 online is free, yeah, great stuff, I will look 4ward to hooking up to it, but the 360 online is £25 - £30 for 12months, not exactly breaking the bank for what it has to offer. If something is good its good, simple as. And the price of the P$3 WILL continue to and HAS harmed the sales. We are lucky and can afford (or are just plain nuts) to pay half a grand for a games machine with 2 games! LOL.

yeah that is good about the firmware for the uk....i still have 6-7weeks till i can afford mine...

True, only I don't think too much of the 360, all I see it as is an Xbox1 with better graphics, nothing new. I see a lot more in the PS3. People have complained about the price, and true, it is expensive whichever way you look at it. I do believe it will be worth it, although as you say that is a reason why its sales have been harmed. I must admit, you sound as though you begrudge spending so much money on a games machine. If this is true then maybe you shouldn't. I know that I certainly wouldn't be parting with £525 if I didn't think it was worth it.

LOL, I always said to my m8's etc, that if the P$3 came down in price or I came into some cash, I would get one as I love my games. Lucky for me, I came into a little cash. You are rght tho, I couldn't justify paying that for a "games" machine if I had to work the extra overtime etc! Not now when Im saving for a wedding and have a baby on the way! LOL. But everyone's circumstances are diff, they are just mine. I am really looking 4ward to the P$3, just glad Im gonna be lucky enough to pick what system I play my games on, I realise I am very lucky in that way!

ya see you respect each system for what it offers, you are not trying to say that they should make one system with all three combined and call it pswii60. jeter doesnt really understand things that well. so make things clear when you right them so he can understand. he didnt know that the american dollar is worth more than the canadian dollar. definition of a dumb ass is jeter16 for all of you didnt kniw what it meant.
