Hello everyone im a newb to all this.

I bought my ps3 about 4 months back with gt5 prolugue and im having a ball .
I tried to hook my ps3 up to my ethernet cable following the online config , but its a touch difficult .
Ive got the info to hand but it keeps coming back with a dns server error.

I take it most of you have the wireless router in the house?
As i reckon its going to be far easier doing this.

Wireless Router is reaaaallly easy. You just have it running, and the PS3 picks it up, you enter the password if it's encrypted, and voila.

Go to your router config page (enter it's IP in the web browser URL bar) and see if it's set to "Get DNS from ISP" or "Use this DNS:". Try switching to whichever one its not on right now.

Thank you soo much , im just going to buy a router it seems far easier.

^^^^If you do, I recommend you get a cheap one. There's no point in getting an expensive one if it's only for one thing (the ps3)
