This is hopeless. Ive had a Ps3 for a little under a year now, and its been coming along great, no problems up until today. I was play Metal Gear Solid 4 when my system froze -.- SO... i restarted the system and I inspected the disc, perfectly intact. So I know the disc isn't to blame. So I put it back in, the game begins to play only to freeze shortly after, and now.... My PS3 won't even recognize my games and videos as disc, like they won't even show up as " Un - usable "" disc - error". I'm sitting here having no clue whats going on....
Please help.

Seems to me that your blu ray laser drive has gone which is why it's not picking up the disc. Best option would be to ring up Sony customer services.

Because no microscopic blemishes get past your eyes.
