Can anyone tell me what the deal is with the Bluetooth feature?

bluetooth is just referring to the type of wireless it is. The ps3 controller is bluetooth because it doesn't take batteries you charge it through the usb port. Also some headsets are bluetooth. So pretty much just think of it as wireless.

I was playing Resistance once and I guess someone using some kind of Bluetooth thing passed by my house and my game was moving around like crazy......I was killed.....Thats about it.

To clarify a little bit-

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that the PS3 makes use of exclusively. The advantage that Bluetooth has is it's a standard system of getting accessories to interface with things. Think of it as a wireless USB connection. Infact, if you have one of those wireless headsets for your cell phone, they you'll be able to use it on the PS3. It's a very pro-consumer thing Sony did.

Things you can add bluetooth to the PS3-
Headset
Keyboard
Mouse
Official Sony Blu-Ray remote for the PS3
